Simple, tasty, healthy. Just a few ingredients needed to make a quick marinade.
Ingredients
1/2CTamari or Shoyusoy sauce
1/2CMirin
1/2CMaple syruphoney or unrefined sugar
1inchKnob grated or minced Fresh Gingeror 1/2 tsp ginger powder
1/2tspOnion powder
1-2clovesGarlic - 1 or 2 cloves minced or ½ to 1 tsp garlic powderminced
4Salmon filets
Instructions
Mix first 6 ingredients in a sauce pan.
Bring to a boil.
Lower heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Sauce can be thickened by making a slurry and adding if desired.
Place salmon fillets in a baking dish and pour in teriyaki sauce.
Heat oven to 350°
Bake for 15 minutes or until salmon is flaky
Recipe Notes
If not using Mirin, I suggest adding more sweetener to offset the highly salty soy sauce. Also adding a splash of pineapple is tasty and adds some sweetness.
